Welcome to the world of the Football Tipster.  This user manual will quickly help you get the best of what it has to offer.  Thanks for purchasing my product and I hope you find it a valuable tool in your battle against the bookmaker.

Step One

The first step is to calculate an attacking value and defensive value for both the home and away side.

The value is usually an average of the goals scored and the goals conceded by each team.  To get you started some of the common methods which I have had success with in the past are:

-          Last 6 home games for the home side and last 6 away games for the away side.

-          Last 12 games both home and away for each side.

-          The average in games in which the teams played against teams in a similar league position to today’s opponents

I would encourage you think about and experiment with different values in a bid to find the perfect one.  If you do not wish to do the calculations yourself averages can be found on popular soccer stats websites.

Once you have your averages you enter them in the yellow cells under the appropriate heading:

Step Two

Well the rest is straight forward, once the values are entered the probability for each market will be calculated:

You will notice that there are three sheets in the spreadsheet.

Combined – This is the master spread sheet.  This shows the probability of an outcome when both the attacking and defensive strength of each team is taken into consideration.

Attack – These are the probabilities when only the attacking strength is considered.

Defence – These are the probabilities when only the defensive strength is considered.

The combined spread sheet should be your main reference but there is room to play about and experiment.  From my own experience I have found that for some markets the defensive sheet alone is a good indicator.  If there is a high probability in each of the combined, attack and defence sheets then that is a good indicator for a strong bet.
